By offering inside information about the Legal Profession and it's practitioners it is hoped that the Legal eXchange will be able to offer something unique.  The idea has been long in the "planning" but very slow in the implementation, due to a lack of time to devote to actually sitting down and getting on with the real work.  Lots of ideas ... not enough time.

This is a limited pilot to test the water, find out what works, what doesn't, what needs to be changed and (hopefully) to find out who (and how many) are interested in taking this further and helping to build this into something useful and lasting.  Some "nice to have" features don't currently work and the whole thing could certainly be improved many times over.  Having said that, feedback and inspiration from others is a must.  Some ideas will probably never be implemented, though, with luck, the efforts will go into something even better.

Please do join up and help add to our database.  Please use the forums to provide feedback, ideas and suggestions for improvement.  That at least shouldn't take up too much of your time, you may derive some pleasure from it and you will be helping others... maybe in a BIG way... you may even help yourself.  Please tell your friends and help promote the site in any way that you can.  If you feel passionate and have even more time to devote or would like to become further involved, please drop us a line mailto:admin@legalxchange.co.uk

There is currently no set time for the "pilot" to run.  At some point, and after some changes and improvements, the pilot will end and we'll be left with something lasting that can grow and be promoted for years to come.  That's the dream at least.  Please don't be put off by the initial size of the project.  Please get in on the ground floor;  your early contributions and involvement are extremely valuable.  We hope you find something useful here... with your help, large or small, it can become something really useful.  Thanks for reading.
