[More Firms to Avoid?] Coming Soon... [Legal Aid / LSC / DCA / White Paper]
Robots - check this link - a pilot that may disappear to the detriment of us all (my opinion) How does this relate to legal stuff? I want
For your own peace of mind... Do NOT use this Firm...
FDC Law, Norton House, High Street, Midsomer Norton, BA3 2DF - this Firm also has offices in Frome and Paulton.
There are plenty of law firms out there, so why use one who may...
This Firm has NO WORKING COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
Wayman, the senior Partner, is guilty of PROFESSIONAL MISCONDUCT, DECEIT and appalling record keeping. This suggests that the corruption in this Firm starts at the top. And it's not JUST me ... click here and here
For more details of the appalling behaviour of this Firm please click here.
This Firm has a notice in it's reception saying "Regulated by The Law Society". A solicitor's obligation to abide by the Rules of Professional Conduct is underpinned by Law, including Section 42 of the Access to Justice Act 1999. Surely the regulator would not permit such behaviour? For more details of what the only so called "regulator" terms an "investigation" please click here.
If any other business behaved in such a way (deceit in order to obtain money, faked "records" and "estimates" for work already done which were "out" by over 500%) it seems likely that a criminal prosecution would follow. Is it hard to believe that the only so-called "regulator" actually bends over backwards, to a point of making itself look inept, to protect these people? Well...
... A LOT of people who have been through the Law Society "mill" will have no problems believing. Doubts? Try a few of the links at the bottom of this page... at very least you may end up with a realistic view.

Finally, a Vote of Thanks - some very useful "open government" help.
Some Links - useful, disturbing and otherwise...
http://www.familieslink.co.uk/pages/issues_profit_justice_solicitors.htm - Doubters try the first paragraph.. or two
http://www.unjustis.co.uk/ - a wealth of information and a whole lot more (huge links / help section).
http://www.mensaid.com - forums, news, advice support and much more... see the (still so far incomplete) links section.
http://www.geocities.com/profrogues/ Professional Rogues - another site aiming to name and shame.
http://www.which.net/media/pr/jun04/which/solicitors-england.html Which? report 2004 ... One person described the Law Society as “a body that is ‘drinking at the same waterhole’ as the legal hyenas it purports to be checking up on.” Been there... Agree 100%
http://www.casiaweb.com/ - Some folks have been trying to change things for a while.
http://www.roughjustice.org.uk/index_files/Page690.htm <<< very well written
Try this http://www.solicitorsfromhell.com/news.htm or this http://www.human-rights.demon.co.uk/oss.htm/
Historical... are things any better? 1999 to 2004...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/381474.stm - 1999 "news"
http://members.aol.com/lawawful/OSS.htm - The Willing blindness report - methinks things are the same in 2004 - the OSS became the CCS (Consumer Complaints Service) in April 2004 - same Sh*t, different day! Even the Parliamentary Casework Team seem visually challenged. Try "swatting the spider"
http://www.olso.org/AR2003_interim/default.asp - "Unprecedented" interim report by the Legal Services Ombudsman - this shows the "state of affairs" within the OSS at the time I complained (September 2003) - over 8,500 "open" complaints and grave concerns.
http://www.legal-services-review.org.uk/content/pubs.htm - the 2004 "review" - just how much longer will the Law Society be permitted to protect it's members from it's own published rules? Another 5 years? 10? More?
Official sites...
http://www.courtservice.gov.uk/ - forms help and guidance
http://www.jsboard.co.uk/ - the training notes for Judges and more - check out the "most visited links"
http://www.courtservice.gov.uk/using_courts/guides_notices/notices/scco/guide/section1.htm - useful guidance on "costs" issues - see also http://www.hrothgar.co.uk/YAWS/costs_2g/contents.htm
http://www.dca.gov.uk/civil/procrules_fin/menus/rules.htm - check out the Civil Procedures Rules and Practice Directions - OK, the Law Society rules may not be worth the paper they are written on and unscrupulous solicitors may not follow these rules either, but knowing them can only help.
http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/professional/conduct/guideonline.law - how they're supposed to behave, as underpinned by law. I suggest that the Law Society "rules" are not worth the paper they are written on, the penny's worth of storage they occupy or the bandwidth they consume. Despite Section 42 of the Access to Justice Act 1999, Judges refuse to listen to arguments based on them and the Law Society ignore them. What IS the point?
http://www.lawgazette.co.uk/home.law - the Law Gazette - try searching for "struck off" or "SDT" (Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal) and see how many criminals there are despite the best efforts of the Law Society to protect it's Members.
http://www.lawsociety.org.uk/choosingandusing/redressscheme.law - A misnomer or a sick joke?
http://www.barcouncil.org.uk/document.asp?languageid=1&documentid=616 - Any better?
http://www.olso.org/ For complaints against the "regulators". Good luck!

Note: A "2 minute" web page http://www.geocities.com/arsefardle2003/ was thrown together back in October 2003. OK, it's not very good but it cost nothing to produce, advertise or maintain. It has generated a LOT of interest.. If one person decides NOT to use FDC Law, then it is worth it.
THIS site was visited by a lot of LOCAL legal professionals in April of this year. If this places one "opponent" on the alert for Wayman's potential for Professional Misconduct and deceit then this can only help. FDC Law tried to silence me. Is this information defamatory? Well, it's been here since April 2004 and I've yet to hear from FDC Law directly. Since then they lost an appeal despite the fact that their Council lied to, and tried to deceive the appeal Judge to protect Wayman. Any free site promotion welcome.
